Poached Salmon Steak with Dill
Ingredients
- Boneless Salmon Steaks - 4 (about 1/2 lb each)
- White Vinegar - 4 Tbs
- Onion - 1 c sliced
- Fresh Dill - 4 sprigs
- Ground Cayenne - 1/8 tsp.
- Salt - to taste
- Whole Black Peppercorns - 6
Instructions
Select a wide shallow, possible electric fry pan to hold the salmon steaks in one layer. Cover them with cold water and ad the vinegar, onion, dill, cayenne pepper, salt and peppercorns. Bring to a boil, lower the heat to a simmer and poach for about 5 to 6 minutes or until cooked. Remove the fillets and drain well.
Serve with cucumber dill sauce.
