Butter Cookies
Ingredients
- Butter - 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Large Eggs - 1
- Vanilla Extract - 1/2 tsp.
- Flour - 2 cups
- Baking Powder - 2 tsp.
- Salt - 1/2 tsp.
Instructions
Cream together butter and sugar. Mix well. Blend in 1 large egg and vanilla extract. In separate bowl sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to butter mixture. Mix until well blended. Divide dough into two parts. Chill dough one hour. It will be easier to handle. Roll your dough to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters and transfer to cookie baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes. Paint with Butter Cookie Paint or Butter Cookie Glaze
