Nut Cake
Ingredients
- Butter - 1/4 cup
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Eggs - 2, beaten slightly
- Sour Cream - 1/2 pint
- Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp.
- Flour - 2 cups, sifted
- Baking Powder - 1 tsp.
- Baking Soda - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 1/4 tsp.
- Walnuts - 3/4 cup, chopped
- Sugar - 1/4 cup
- Cinnamon - 1 tsp.
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and chopped nuts together, set aside. In large mixing bowl cream 1/4 cup of butter and 1 cup of sugar, blend well, add 2 beaten eggs, 1/2 pint of sour cream, and vanilla. Beat until well blended. In separate bowl, sift flour, bking powder, salt and baking soda together and gradually add to creamed mixture. Beating after each addition. Grease tube pan, put half of batter into into pan and sprinkle with half of nut mixture. Add the rest of the batter and sprinkle with the remaining nut mixture. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
