Cream Cheese Pound Cake
Ingredients
- Cream Cheese - 8 ox. package
- Butter - 1/2 lb.
- Sugar - 2 cups
- Eggs - 6
- Presto Cake Flour - 2 cups plus 6 Tbs.
- Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp.
Instructions
In large electric mixer bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy, add butter and beat again until well blended. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add sugar and vanilla, beat until smooth. Fold i flour a little at a time, mixture will be thick. Grease and flour a loaf pan or tube pan; pour in mixture. Bake 350° for one hour and 10 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pan, remove from pan by turning upside down, and place on plate, when partially cooled brush on the following glaze if desired.
Glaze: 3 Tbs. thawed frozen concentrated orange juice, don not dilute it, use as is, 3 Tbs. confectionery sugar. Mix to a smooth paste and brush over side and top of cake.
