Rodkoal-Red Cabbage
Ingredients
- Red Cabbage - 3 lb.
- Butter - 1/4 cup
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Red Wine Vinegar - 2 Tbs.
- Sugar - 1 Tbs.
- Salt - to taste
- Black Pepper - to taste
- Red Currant Jelly - 1/2 cup
Instructions
Shred cabbage, discarding tough part. In large pot cook cabbage in butter, stirring 3-4 minutes. Add water, vinegar, sugar and cover. Simmer for 1 hour. Then add currant jelly and salt and pepper to taste. Make this night before you will serve, store in refrigerator overnight, reheat before serving.
