Royal Cheese Cake
Ingredients
- Cream Cheese - 2 - 8 oz. pkgs.
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Egg Yolks - 5
- Sour Cream - 2 cups
- Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp.
- Lemon Juice - 1 Tbs.
- Egg Whites - 5, beaten stiff
Instructions
Beat egg whites until stiff, set aside. Beat cream cheese until creamy, add sugar and cream well. Add unbeaten egg yolks, stir only just enough to blend, stir in sour cream, vanilla extract and lemon juice until well blended. Fold in egg whites. Pour mixture into a spring form pan that has been lined with graham cracker crumb crust. Put spring form pan on cookie sheet and bake slowly at 300° for one hour. Turn off oven and let cake remain in oven one more hour with the door closed, then open door and let cake remain in oven for one half hour. Cool and then refrigerate before serving.
