Onion Sauce
Ingredients
- Sweet Onion - 2 Large
- Ketchup - 8 oz. jar
- Water
- Chili Powder - 1/2 tsp.
- Crushed Red Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Black Pepper - to taste
- Oregano - 1/8 tsp.
Instructions
Saute onions in a small amount of oil, stir until onions are coated and softened, slightly. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper, add more if you like it hot. Add ketchup and stir. Add chili powder, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Add just enough water to cover all the onions. Cook about 30 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
Great with hot dogs
