Marinated Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients
- Brussles Sprouts - 1 lb. small
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Garlic - 1 clove minced
- Raspberry Flavored Vinegar - 1/2 cup
- Vegetable Oil - 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 1 Tbs.
- Dried Onion - 2 Tbs.
- Hot Sauce - 1/4 tsp.
Instructions
Trim yellowed outer leaves from Brussels sprouts and discard; cut a small cross in base of each sprout. Place Brussels sprouts and water to barely cover in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 5 to 6 minutes or until crisp tender. Drain and rinse thoroughly with cold water. Combine salt and garlic in a mortar; mash with pestle until a paste forms. Combine mashed garlic and remaining ingredients in a large bowl, stirring well. Add Brussels sprouts and stir gently until well coated. Cover and marinate overnight.
